Who is Lindsey?
That is a loaded question & one not so easily answered!
I’m too complex to describe myself in a few paragraphs. The easiest solution is to copy and paste from my Facebook page:
My husband, Josh, and I have been married 10 years. He’s my best friend who always keeps me laughing (well, most of the time!). Our relationship with Jesus Christ and obeying Him is our main purpose in life.
I love to love, laugh, and spend time with friends and family.
I hate to clean, but am being forced to do it often. I love to sing, but don’t do it enough anymore. My guilty pleasure is keeping up with the latest hollywood stars. I’m a puzzle addict – crosswords, strategies, sudoku, etc. In high school i was pretty shy, now I’m very outgoing and love people.
I spend way too much time on the internet…
Although still fairly true, I haven’t updated that bio (except for the years married) since I created a facebook page several years ago. I’m no longer addicted to puzzles (ok, maybe still a little)… but, I am addicted to loose leaf teas and Starbucks’ Dark Cherry Mocha Frappaccinos!
The next easiest description is to just give the basics:
I’m a 31-yr old woman living in the Dallas, TX area with my husband, Josh, and dog, Daisy. I hold a B.A. in English from Texas A&M-Commerce and am currently teaching 10th grade and 11th grade English in the Garland School District. When I’m not slaving over lesson plans or trying to overlook high school student immaturity, you’ll probably find me planning out my next big travel adventure, even if I only escape in my mind 🙂
In my leisure time, I enjoy blogging/writing, playing on Facebook, watching movies, reading, photography, traveling, and hanging out with family & friends.
The Nitty-Gritty :
To get to the core of who I am, you have to stick around for a while and follow my blog posts. What you’ll find is a woman whose just trying to live for the Lord and glorify Him in all she does…despite many failures, flaws, and insecurities (and they rear their ugly heads quite often). But my God, who is full of love, mercy & grace, always forgives and teaches me to press on.
My blog is just a way to express my thoughts; to get them out of my head. My biggest hope is that it both challenges and encourages some reader out there! And if it does, feel free to comment…I’d love to hear from you! If it doesn’t challenge or encourage you, but rather ticks you off or raises questions…I’d love to hear from you, too (just keep it clean and respectful)!
So, that’s me in a nutshell…now, you tell me about yourself in the comment section below! I love to get to know my readers!
