Trust me, I'm no fan of McCain. It was a vote for the "lesser of two evils," though Obama and I are in agreement on very, very little.

I find it amazing that you actually talked with people who had never heard of partial-birth abortion or the realities of abortion. It just goes to show that we can't take it for granted that people are educated on vitally important issues like the sanctity of human life. We have to keep on sharing the truth with people, always tempering our words with grace and love, while also refusing to sugar-coat reality. Prayer, of course, is our strongest weapon in this battle against the Evil One. Ultimately, that's who we're fighting anyway -- Satan, not people.

I just finished reading "The Hiding Place" by Corrie ten Boom. If you haven't read it, then you should. Point being, Corrie's sister, Betsie, amazed me throughout the book. She understood the power of prayer and had more compassion in her pinky finger than I have in my whole body. I am so often blinded by the sin that I forget that there is a human being involved, and that I should feel deep, intense pity for them to the point that I am moved into action, even if the only action is prayer.

Thanks Christina for visiting my site and linking to yours. It's important that the truth is told.

I recently was talking with some people about abortion, and they had never even heard of partial-birth abortion or how abortions are done? I was flabbergasted! People need to be educated; and once they start seeing the truth, then I pray their hearts will change.

Amanda, I was back and forth on Obama and McCain, they both have issues that I'm strongly against and strongly for...but this one issue took me back to McCain. Many Christians are criticized for voting based on this one issue...but I don't care...if I have to base my vote between tax issues or preserving life, I will always put the people of God above all else.

Thank you for posting this. I've wanted to do it, but I felt a definite urging from the Spirit to keep my fingers mum on the subject of Obama and abortion. I have no idea why, but He has checked my spirit every single time I've wanted to blog about it.

I'm a one-issue voter, I'll admit it. I can not and will not ever vote for anyone who is pro-abortion. Someday, I'm afraid that means I will no longer be able to vote in this country. It looks to me that we are heading closer and closer to a state where nearly all those who run for office are going to be pro-murder. After all, if we become a socialist state, then the conservatives and moderate-conservatives will no longer have a voice in government.

That's an amazing speech, and it's going on my blog.

For more about Obama and born-alive babies, see <a href="http://realchoice.blogspot.com/2008/09/obama-and-born-alive-babies.html" rel="nofollow">this</a>.
